Accessibility Statement

I want juldesign.de to be easy to use for everyone – regardless of disability, device or assistive technology. This statement applies to the website juldesign.de in German and English.

Compliance status

The benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA, which the European standard EN 301 549 and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) refer to. This website is largely compliant with these requirements. Known limitations are listed below.

As a micro-enterprise, Jul Design is not legally required to meet the BFSG. I implement accessibility voluntarily – because it is part of a good website and because I bring this expertise to client projects as well.

What has been implemented

  • full keyboard operation with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link
  • a clear page structure with a heading hierarchy and landmarks (navigation, main content, footer)
  • text alternatives for informative images
  • sufficient colour contrast for text and links
  • labelled form fields with input validation
  • support for the “reduce motion” system setting: animations are switched off
  • responsive layout on all screen sizes and zoom up to 200% without loss of content
  • the language of each page (German or English) is declared

Known limitations

  • The cookie banner is provided by an external service (CCM19). I have only limited influence on its accessibility.
  • The decorative 3D graphic on the home page carries no information. It is hidden when “reduce motion” is enabled.
  • Linked project websites belong to my clients and are not covered by this statement.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 28 October 2026. It is based on a self-assessment: automated tests with axe-core (WCAG 2.1 A/AA) on all pages plus manual checks of keyboard operation, focus order, contrast, forms and page structure. The website is re-checked whenever it changes.
